I really liked how Diana got people to come up and try things out. She let them figure it out on their own rather than showing them all the steps over again. It seems to me that the layering concepts are hard for some to understand. However, some of our professors are ahead of the curve and one person has developed 2 weeks of lesson plans already. Eastfield College is part of the Dallas County Community College District. The recent bond program created opportunities to expand our campus with four buildings and one satellite campus site. Careful planning in the design and development for the first of these buildings, the Learning Center, began in 2006. The intent to bring together space, technology, and pedagogy to ensure learner success was achieved. CCS Presentation Systems played a significant role in the success we have experienced during the first semester in the Learning Center building. Patti Postel and her team delivered an audiovisual experience for faculty, students, and community members that exceeded our expectations. The 55,000 square foot facility includes nineteen room control system integrated learning studio spaces, two community event spaces and digital sign installation in student commons areas. The programming and installation staff provided professional, consistent and complete service.
CCS Presentation Systems participated in a year long intensive College Learning Studio Pilot program beginning in Fall, 2007 at Eastfield College. An intensive experiment to conceptualize the learning studio approach involved external furniture and audiovisual vendor product installation in existing classrooms. The collaboration between vendors and students, faculty, and college leadership resulted in tremendous success in identifying instructional support needs. Patti and her staff were instrumental in facilitating faculty and student needs and feedback, installation ideas, requested modifications, training, survey participation, and advice on future projects.
In the past, CCS Presentation Systems staff has provided numerous site visits, room system designs, and recommendations to Eastfield College Media & Production Services department and IT division. We have been invited to several professional development programs hosted by CCS through the years. These programs offer timely and topical content for media technology providers.

I think CCS has done very well, certainly the best of the authorized sellers of products in Tucson. They far and away do a much better job at providing solutions than other places do, we’ve used CCS before in the past and we’ll continue to use them in the future. CCS is very accessible and they don’t try to sell me stuff that I don’t want which is very important because the AV multimedia game that can be like a black hole, everybody tries to sell you stuff, people have their own contracts they work with and CCS has been very straight forward, upfront, and very helpful. Any time we have a new project and need installation I go to CCS. We are a private school and a non for profit so we are the caretakers of our own finances, I’ve never felt CCS has tried to take advantage of the amount we will pay for a product. I think it’s a major part of why I come back to CCS and why I trust them with my projects, this school has a lot of ideas some of them pan out and some of them don’t and when they do pan out the school wants to move on them quickly and I need a vendor that understands that and works with me the best they can.
