CCS Partner SMART Technologies Inc. has evolved its design applications for the construction, engineering and architecture fields. SMART announced the release of three new integrations with design applications:
The design applications (which include Autodesk Revit, Tekla BIMsight and Adobe Illustrator) give users an innovative, real-time method to control and edit files directly on SMART Board interactive displays. What’s exciting from a professional’s point of view is the ease of these applications in enhancing collaboration and problem solving during product or project coordination reviews.
The applications include 2D and 3D models, and images that can be marked up and manipulated directly on SMART’s interactive displays. Architects and engineers can use SMART’s interactive display pen and eraser tools to gel with the applications’ tools.

EPSON AMERICA
Looking to give educators in the classroom better projections for presentations, videos and live streams, Epson introduced two new projector series last week. Three bright and easy-to-use projectors for schools – Epson PowerLite S17, X17, and W17 – help educators with HDMI connectivity and options for mobile integration.
The Epson 17 series comes in SVGA, XGA and widescreen WXGA resolutions, and can integrate audio and video options into any learning environment. Teachers can use wireless devices with a network module that Epson sells separately.
The other series – the Epson PowerLite 97, 98, 99W, 955W, and 965 classroom projectors – gives teachers extra options of networking several devices into the projectors, from both local and remote locations, with extremely bright, vivid images.
